How To Flash ASUS Zenfone Mobile Phones

FLASHING VIA ZENFONE FLASH TOOL

• Download ASUS Zenfone flash tool v1.0.0.7 here
• Download ASUS Zenfone flash tool v1.0.0.0 here
• Download Updates here
• Extract & install
• launch
• AFT will automatically detect mobile device (if device is not automatically detected, reconnect device or re-plug the USB cable)

1. Automatically detect the serial number (for example: DCATCY141082) State representatives connection bar turn blue. Not connected display. Detected inconsistent with actual SN possible, but does not affect the refresh firmware.
2. Manually select the correct model, there is no drop-down menu, and on behalf of AFT is not supported; model forget is elected, you will be prompted
3. Select whether empty user data, Yes on behalf empty, No representative of any default No, please chose according to actual situation.
4. Click on the box icon, select the path to the firmware raw file.
5. Click again, you need to update the machine, serial number, and blue State status bar.
6. Click the start point icon to start the firmware update.

• Flash process, the phone will appear black, is normal, over a period of time it will automatically display
• Success, ASUS Flash Tool will show below, the system will automatically reboot into the phone.

NOTE: Somtimes brushing, the phone is turned off black state, press the power button to boot
Entite process takes about 6.5 Mimutes

FLASHING VIA ADB SIDELOAD

Based on experience with zen 6 bootloop (stuck at asus logo) because of editing build.pro


TOOLS & DRIVERS NEEDED

1. Intel USB Drivers for Android Download here
2. Download Inten USB Drivers Updates here
3. ADB Fastboot Tool Download here

STEPS >>

• Turn off your Zenfone
• Go to recovery mode by pressing power button + volume down, android logo appears, press volume up + down and then release volume up (still hold the volume down until recovery) then apply update from ADB option
• Connect your Zenfone with USB Cable to your PC/laptop
• Open command prompt in Windows (in the same folder where ADB is located)
• Check connection by type adb devices if connection successful will be a list of Zenfone device
• Type adb sidload file.zip (file.zip=adjust the filename, asus zenfone firmware that you have downloaded)
• Wait until the process is complete
• Zenfone will flash to clean thoroughly

NOTE:
This method can be used to downgrade, or that an error occurred during install root (root will disappear completely)

WARNING!
Flashing will erase all of your data
